To access the Admin Homepage, log in to SCOT by selecting the Employee section.
On Homepage you have quick access to useful analytics, like Performance (OTIF), Availability, Lost Sales Opportunity. Using the top filters Supplier or Portfolio, you can focus on specific suppliers and check the KPIs available in the sections:
- Business Overview
- Performance Summary

1. Business Overview
Under Business Overview, you can check the Gross and Net OTIF, Late Deliveries and No Deliveries, as well as Availability of stock and Lost Sales Opportunity due to missing stock. You can select different periods, such as Last 1 Month, Last 3 or 6 Months, Last 1 Year or define a custom month.
The OTIF, Late Deliveries and No Deliveries are shown in percentages and in Metro Units (MU). This data is also compared to similar previous period and the difference is shown below the percentages in green (if trend is good) or in red (if trend needs improvement). This comparison is a very good indicator of the dynamics and general trend for a specific supplier or portfolio.
NOTE: OTIF for several months is not an average of the OTIFs of each month.
The OTIF calculation formula is applied for the several month period as if it was one common period. The total number of delivered on time units are calculated for all months of the period and then divided by the total number of ordered units for that period.

Availability and Lost Sales Opportunity data is imported in SCOT from EDGE.
While Availability data has daily granularity and Lost Sales Opportunity data is on weekly level, in SCOT you see only cumulative results depending on the period filter that you select.
NOTE: Weekly data from EDGE is from Sunday-Saturday and is received in SCOT on Tuesday and shown for the last week. Monthly data is aggregated on the 1st Wednesday of the current month for the previous month.
Availability shows the percentage of stock present in Metro stores for the defined period. Availability target is always 100%, so this is the reference point. Calculation logic is the same as in corporate reporting.
NOTE: EDGE receives Availability data from MDW
Lost Sales Opportunity shows the estimative amount, expressed in money (euro or local currency as used for NNBP prices in MDW), representing the potential sales that could have been done, but for various reasons were not.
The logic of calculation is the following: once a week, MDSP sends to EDGE information about lost sales quantity (for the days with stock quantity = 0, MDSP calculates forecast for these days as lost sales). EDGE multiplies QTY to NNBP price of each article to recalculate from pieces to money and shows 50% out of this value (because full amount should be split between Metro and Supplier).
NOTE: EDGE receives Lost Sales Opportunity data from MDSP, which means that this KPI is visible on the home page only for countries which are working with MDSP.

2. Root Cause Approval
Under Root Cause Approval, you can view FOL details for a particular time period and also compare the FOL results of previous months or years, at portfolio level.

Keep All Portfolios or select a specific portfolio, then select the months that you want to compare.
Under Older RCA, you can select a 6-month frame for cumulative results over that time frame.
- New FOL - number of FOLs created with the last night run and not yet updated by any Metro admin (no RCA3 or no approval flag)
- Not assigned FOL - number of FOLs with no RCA2
- Not approved FOL - RCA2 is entered but approval flag = 0 and no RCA3 is commented
By Clicking on the FOL numbers, you will be redirected to the RCA page with the search filters from Homepage automatically applied.
3. Link to EDGE
On Homepage, you have a direct connection to the EDGE analytics & reporting application. Click on the EDGE logo to get to the application.

4. Language Selector
You can change the language of the application by clicking on the flag icon in the left-bottom side of the screen. Scroll the list of available languages and choose your own.
NOTE: Language changes are applied only if translations are available for that language. This means that you or your colleagues have translated the UI in SCOT Pre-Production (PP) and then our Developers have pushed the translations to SCOT Production.
