Considering a 7-digits construction, all articles should belong to the same assortment group. In the Range Plan, it is possible to see articles for all COMS structures, which have at least one article with the selected assortment group assigned. Countries can use this view to check if their master data is properly maintained.

Example:

Article 278040 has assortment group 1109 (the selected one). All articles with the same COMS structure (380,10,5) will be shown in the Range Plan, even if they cannot be planned or will be counted. Only if for these articles the currently assigned assortment group is switched to the selected one (1109), they can be planned in this Range Plan.

All the articles below are shown (including article 278041 with assortment group 1132), but only article 278040 can be planned. For the other ones, only the assortment group can be changed.
